About

Hi, I'm Zac

Travel advisor, full-time RVer, and the person who will talk you out of the wrong cabin.

My story

Strategy by trade, wanderer by heart

I came to this from project management and strategy, which is a less romantic origin story than most travel advisors have and a considerably more useful one. Planning a trip well is mostly logistics: sequencing, dependencies, and catching the thing that will go wrong three months before it does. I happen to be good at that, and I happen to enjoy it.

My husband Chad and I live full-time in our RV, moving around the U.S. and fitting cruises and resort stays around it. It means travel isn't something I read about in a supplier newsletter. I've slept in the cabin category I'm recommending, and eaten in the restaurant that needs booking three weeks out. I've taken the transfer that turns out to be ninety minutes rather than the twenty the brochure implies.

A while ago I narrowed what I sell. I used to plan everything; now I plan cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and small group tours. Being broadly familiar with everything turns out to be much less useful to you than knowing three things properly.

Credentials

What do the acronyms actually get you?

Every advisor lists these. Far fewer explain why you should care, so here's the plain-language version.

Signature Travel Network

A member-owned network of independent agencies with negotiated supplier relationships.

What it gets you: this is the most concrete benefit on the page. On many bookings I can attach amenities that aren't available if you book direct. That means resort credits for dining or spa, room upgrades where inventory allows, and onboard credit on a large number of sailings. Often daily breakfast too, plus early check-in or late checkout. Same published rate, more in it for you. It varies by property and date, and I'll tell you what's on your booking rather than what's theoretically possible.

CLIA Certified Cruise Counsellor

Cruise Lines International Association — the industry body for cruising. Certification requires coursework plus documented time aboard ships.

What it gets you: the ship-and-cabin judgement that decides whether you enjoy a sailing. Which deck is noisy, which "obstructed view" is a rope and which is a lifeboat, which ship in a fleet suits you and which absolutely doesn't. I hold line certifications with Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival, so the recommendations come with specifics rather than brochure copy.

NGLCC Certified LGBT Business Enterprise

National LGBT Chamber of Commerce certification, verifying majority LGBTQ+ ownership and operation.

What it gets you: an advisor who researches differently. Which ships and resorts are genuinely welcoming rather than rainbow-branded in June. Which destinations are relaxed in practice, whatever the law says. And the small operational things — like a "one king" booking arriving as two singles — that get caught in advance rather than at a check-in desk. If your employer runs a supplier-diversity program, bookings through me may also qualify. More on that →
